Local-first · Court-ready

Your life, locked.
Your truth, eternal.

JournaLock is a tamper-evident encrypted journal for inventors, attorneys, executives, and anyone who needs records that hold up when it matters. Your vault stays on your device — no account required.

Built for serious records

Not a social diary. A sealed vault for invention notes, matter timelines, executive journals, and personal evidence you may need years later.

Security

Local encryption

Entries and attachments live in an AES-256 encrypted vault on your hard drive or device. Biometrics use the OS only — Face ID, fingerprint, Windows Hello.

Integrity

Tamper-evident chain

Cryptographic hash chaining and optional trusted timestamps (RFC 3161) help prove when something was written — and that it has not been silently altered.

Control

You own the keys

No JournaLock user accounts. Optional AWS S3 backup and Stripe payments use credentials or checkout you initiate — we do not host your journal content.

Who it is for

Professionals who cannot afford “the cloud lost my notes.”

Inventors & founders

Document conception, diligence, and lab notes with a chain that supports patent and investor timelines.

Attorneys & counsel

Matter-aware journaling and optional link-up workflows without surrendering client content to a SaaS silo.

Executives & boards

Decision logs and CYA records you can export, seal, and keep under your own retention policy.

Anyone who needs proof

Personal journals that still feel like a product built for court — not for ads or engagement metrics.

Windows, Android, Mac, and iPhone — one product philosophy across devices.

Privacy by architecture

We do not operate a journal content backend for the free local experience. What you write stays yours.

No content accounts

There is no JournaLock login that holds your diary. Uninstall and exports are under your control.

Optional services only

Stripe Checkout, AWS S3, and AI providers run only when you enable them and supply what they need.
